Some compound words and expressions in Chinese that use the word: Qì 气

The word ​qì (gas / air / smell / weather / to make angry / to annoy / to get angry / vital energy) in Chinese is sometimes used alone, and is used in many, many compound words; so many in fact that I tried to make a list. But, I suspect there are a lot more!

霸气 Bà​qì​            Aggressiveness / hegemony / domineering  

臭气 Chòuqì        Stink, bad smell

出气 Chū​qì​          Venting anger

大气 Dàqì            Atmosphere, heavy breathing, open minded, grand and magnificent, generous

赌气 Dǔ​qì​            To act rashly out of a feeling of injustice

毒气 Dú​qì​            Poison gas / toxic gas / manifestation of passion, anger etc (Buddhism)

书生气 Shū​shēng​qì Characteristics of a scholar

香气 Xiāng​qì​        Fragrance / aroma / incense
